What was the highlight of Hotel Lava Beach Puerto del Carmen
Lovely modern hotel with great facilities.
Lovely decor, clean sleek lines , spacious rooms with great bathrooms, lovely balcony and all really well maintained. We were there mid December and never a problem for beds at the pool or never queues at the buffet. Breakfast buffet was fabulous and ran until 11am which was great, especially if you wanted to get in a yoga or Pilates class before breakfast. One of our main criteria in booking were the spa and fitness classes all included and it didn’t disappoint. There were 3 classes each morning running from 9am - yoga, aerial yoga or Pilates first two session then followed by aqua fit in the pool and then usually stretching/ yoga options also late afternoon - all really well run and never overcrowded- although with only 6 places for aerial yoga it was sometimes oversubscribed , but never an issue as you could follow similar poses on the ground . Spa consisted of a small sauna and steam room - not the biggest but again we were mostly the only ones there. Jacuzzi and bubble beds were located outside and were a bitty chilly due to the time of year. Staff were lovely and always helpful. All in all a fabulous hotel, we would go back !
Only tried the dinner buffet one night - was perfectly nice , a lot of choices if nothing that we thought was really fabulous. We much prefer trying local restaurants, but that’s a personal preference. Location close to the airport was surprisingly undisturbing in the end, and well compensated by being right across from the beach and along a nice quite end of the boulevard- although plenty of restaurants a short stroll away to pop out for lunch. Would have been nice to also have sun beds from the hotel available on the beach - local touts were charging 10.50 a day for old shabby beds and umbrella.

Perfect hotel, I would highly recommend it and thank you to all at Hotel Lava Beach who made it a perfect trip.
This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, sea view in the room, everything very well finished, comfortable beds, very clean room, excellent facilities(gym, fitness classes,amazing pool), staff were also exceptional and a special mention to Ivan, Joan, Cesar and Samuel, all extremely attentive and good at what they do. I will, without a doubt, be returning to this hotel.
I couldn’t fault the hotel in any way.

Perfect
Everything was perfect
Our return flight was at 7:00 am so they offer us a picnic breakfast. When we arrived at airport we discover it was 4 sandwiches of ham and cheese. And we don’t eat pork so we cannot eat it. It will be good to ask before putting ham in the sandwiches.
